Perlawanan diantara kelab Liverpool & Arsenal berkesudahan dengan jaring seri 1-1.

Secara total, half time bagi pasukan Liverpool ternyata terumbang-ambing. Arsenal kelihatan lebih menguasai perlawanan dengan percubaan pertama oleh bek tengah Arsenal, Thomas Varmealan seawal menet ke 5.

Fast foward.

Joe cole menerima kad merah pertama beliau selaku pemain The Reds, miss-time-tackle kearah pemain baru Arsenal,Koscielny. Selang beberapa menet,tiupan wisel separuh masa pertama di Anfield.


Tiada sebarang pertukaran yang dibuat oleh pengurus baru Liverpool,Brader Roy. Jelas kelihatan separuh masa kedua lebih bertenaga dari skuad Liverpool,dengan gol pembukaan oleh David N'gog yang merembat tepat kearah sudut atas gawang Arsenal yang dijaga oleh keeper Almunia. One-nil !

Pengurus Arsenal membuat pertukaran pertama, membawa keluar bintang muda Jack Wilshere serta player feveret Eboue dengan Rocisky dan Walcott di bawa masuk.

Asakan bertubi-tubi dari Arsenal sampai bek kiri Liverpool, Daniel Agger kepeningan lalat. Pepe Reina beraksi cemerlang,tapi kesilapan pada 5 saat sebelum menet 90 ternyata membawa padah. 1-1.

"Maybe that second-half performance deserved all three points and not just one, albeit if at half-time someone had said we'd get a 0-0 or 1-1 draw I probably would have accepted that.

"But to concede so close to the end to a rather scrappy goal was tough on us. The boys did everything they could do and it was an excellent game of football. I hope the fans enjoyed the spectacle.

"It was a wonderful goal (by Ngog). It was a good piece of pressurising between Glen Johnson and Dirk Kuyt to set him up and David took the chance superbly. We had a couple of other chances in second half as well. Both goalkeepers were called into action and there were goal-mouth incidents at both ends.

"We were playing with nine men for a short period of time towards the end after Danny (Agger) had to go off with concussion and unfortunately the game lasted just four or five minutes too long for us."

Gua cedok pulak kata-kata Gerrard mengenai Riena,

But somewhere down the line, we will be winning 1-0 or drawing and he will make a world class save - that's what he does.

"There is no finger pointing here. Everyone can walk away from the game with their heads held high and be proud of the performance."

Gerrard jugak memberi sedikit komen tentang Joe Cole,

"It was a bit of a downer for Joe but he shook everyone's hand and thanked them for the performance after he'd gone off,"

Akhir kata, gua amek dari ayat Gerrard jugak.

"I thought we were very unlucky not to see it out and take maximum points," said the No.8. "I'm very proud of the lads and we all put a tremendous shift in.

"It's tough enough playing Arsenal when it's 11 versus 11. To lose a man with a half to go and still get something out of the game is very pleasing.

"We were disciplined, I thought we looked very fit and I thought we played some good stuff. There are a lot of positives to take, it's just a shame we didn't see it through.

"If we continue to show that fighting spirit and attitude, we will be in for a really good season but we need to show it week in, week out, not just against Arsenal."
